Do not polish the surface- the finish might loose its matte appearance.

Glossy finish is less sensitive in maintenance. You could use almost every detergent which is suitable for standard motorcycle fairing parts. If your carbon-part get scratches, you can quite easily remove these scratches. Simply polish it or gently remove it with sandpaper.
